Acai Berry and the BBB

What is the BBB?

BBB doesn’t stand for Big Bodacious Berry. No, in fact, the Acai Berry itself is pretty small—no bigger than the size of a grape. But, the BBB (Better Business Bureau) is the frontline consumer defense mechanism against all kinds of companies (whether they market the Acai Berry or some other product) that are trying to defraud the customer by dishonest and unethical business practices. As a general rule, a company must have been in business for the period of one year before applying to become a member of the BBB. The smart companies “do their time” (wait the year) and quickly apply to become a member of the Better Business Bureau because this can help their reputation, especially with online marketing. Conversely, having many registered complaints come to the BBB against a company will give it a black eye and may be cause for investigation by the legal authorities. It surely raises some red flags when this happens.

Consumers are becoming more alert and aware of the BBB’s symbol, and look for it when shopping for a product they haven’t had experience with in the past. “Member of the Better Business Bureau” carries a lot of weight. It isn’t an empty statement. Certain specifications need to be met to qualify, and it seems to speak aloud, “I sincerely want your business, and I won’t take advantage of your trust.” Really, as an intermediary of sorts, trust is what the BBB seeks to establish between the customer and the merchant.

In no marketplace is the BBB stamp of approval more important than in the dietary supplement industry. Consumers should be wary of companies that the BBB has noted as being less than totally on the up-and-up. A simple call to the BBB can satisfy your curiosity about a particular company’s reputation. There is no reason for a person to give his or her business to a company that has unresolved complaints registered against it with the BBB. And just to be on the safe side, it may be wise to shop the older, more established companies who have been around long enough to qualify for membership at the BBB.

Acai Berry BBB Companies

There are numerous companies in the dietary supplement industry that profess to be dealing with nothing short of miraculous Acai Berry products. Some of them would rather their smoke-and-mirrors advertising and gimmickries speak cunningly enough for them so they don’t have to. Falsified claims are rampant with the Acai Berry and cast a shadow on those running an honest business with real Acai Berry products. Some companies not only slip in unlisted ingredients in with the Acai Berry supplements they produce and make fantastically exaggerated health claims, but even go so far as to unethically sign up the customer by trickery for an ongoing monthly supply of their Acai products and bill them on a direct withdrawal basis month after month, all while the individual is led to believe that they are still on a free trial or just didn’t realize what they were getting into.

The “real” Acai Berry product companies needn’t worry too much that their prices reflect the true cost of the Acai, though, especially if they have pure, organic, 100% Acai with the basic building blocks, BBB (Better Business Bureau) standing solidly beside the company’s name. While it is saddening to see the unsuspecting being taken advantage, those you know what to look for (and those who can be taught) are led to companies like Perfect Acai and others who are in business to stay in business and keep serving their customers year in and year out. Because an Acai Berry product of true quality will still be around in 10 years from now, while the scams will long since have burned themselves out.
